Horse Racing Tips Today: Three Best Bets for Saturday 3 October 2026

There is plenty of horse racing action across the UK on Saturday, with meetings taking place at Ascot, Newmarket, Redcar, Fontwell and Southwell.

The Sun Chariot Stakes is the feature race at Newmarket, while there are also some competitive races at Ascot and Redcar. We have picked out three selections for Saturday’s racing.

Odds correct at the time of writing and are subject to change.

1:50 Ascot – Tuco Salamanca – 5/2

Tuco Salamanca has been in excellent form this season, and the four-year-old comes into this race after finishing second in the Ayr Gold Cup at Ayr.

Ollie Sangster’s runner was beaten by just half a length despite racing on heavy ground and coming from towards the back of the field. Prior to this, Tuco Salamanca secured an impressive victory over course and distance at Ascot.

This will be his first start in Listed company, but he has continued to improve throughout the season. The return to five furlongs and quicker conditions could suit him.

Betting Tip: Tuco Salamanca to Win – 5/2

2:25 Ascot – Tenability – 13/8

Tenability has an excellent record at Ascot, and the William Haggas-trained runner could be difficult to beat in the Cumberland Lodge Stakes.

The four-year-old has won three of his four previous starts at Ascot, with his only defeat at the track coming when finishing second in this race last season.

Tenability has continued to improve this year, winning two of his last three races. He was impressive last time out at Windsor, where he battled well to secure another Listed victory.

Al Aasy is one of the main dangers, but Tenability has proven form at Ascot and looks to have another strong chance of winning at the track.

Betting Tip: Tenability to Win – 13/8

3:20 Redcar – Satellite Of Love – 13/8

Satellite Of Love has shown plenty of ability this season, winning twice from his four starts.

The two-year-old secured victories at Windsor and Newbury earlier in the campaign before struggling on softer ground at York. However, he returned to form at Doncaster last time out, finishing second in a competitive sales race.

Clive Cox’s runner finished clear of the rest of the field and was only narrowly beaten by Night In Vegas.

Satellite Of Love returns to six furlongs at Redcar, and the expected quicker conditions should suit him. Revels is another strong contender after finishing fourth in the Mill Reef Stakes, but Satellite Of Love could have more improvement to come.

Betting Tip: Satellite Of Love to Win – 13/8
