There are five meetings across Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with action coming from Nottingham, Worcester, Sedgefield, Navan and Kempton.
We have looked through the cards and picked out three horses worth keeping onside, starting with an interesting two-year-old at Nottingham before finishing under the lights at Kempton.
Here are our three best horse racing bets for Wednesday 7 October.
2:29 Nottingham – Gainful – 6/4
Tip: Gainful to win – 6/4
Gainful made a promising start to her career when finishing third at Newmarket last month and she looks capable of taking a decent step forward from that effort.
The Ralph Beckett-trained filly showed plenty of early speed on debut before weakening late on, which was understandable on her first day at the track.
She now moves up slightly in trip to a mile and 75 yards and receives a useful 5lb sex allowance from the colts.
There are only five runners in the field, and although Top Scholar and Prince Of Petra both have potential, Gainful has the benefit of racecourse experience and should have more to offer.
At around 6/4, she is our first selection of the afternoon.
3:59 Nottingham – Get Outta Here – 11/4
Tip: Get Outta Here to win – 11/4
We stay at Nottingham for our second bet, where Get Outta Here looks interesting over a mile and two furlongs.
David Menuisier’s three-year-old was only narrowly denied at Windsor last time, coming from the rear and finishing strongly over a mile.
That performance suggested the extra distance could suit him, and he gets the chance to prove that here.
He has only been raised 2lb for his latest run and still looks on a workable mark. Hector Crouch takes the ride again and, if he gets a decent pace to aim at, Get Outta Here should be finishing strongly.
This is a competitive handicap, but the step up in trip could bring out some further improvement and he gets our vote at around 11/4.
7:30 Kempton – Kiniro – 15/8
Tip: Kiniro to win – 15/8
Our final selection comes at Kempton, where Kiniro drops back to six furlongs for Dan Horsford.
The four-year-old has been racing over seven furlongs recently and has been too keen on his last couple of starts, including when finishing down the field at Newmarket last time.
Dropping back to six furlongs could be exactly what he needs.
Both of Kiniro’s career victories have come on the all-weather and he has also dropped back to an attractive handicap mark.
Oisin Murphy is another positive booking, while stall one should give him every chance of getting a good position.
There are a few dangers in the race, including the progressive Madman, but Kiniro looks to have plenty in his favour and is our best bet on the Kempton card.
