There are four horse racing meetings taking place across Britain on Tuesday, with action coming from Brighton, Leicester, Huntingdon and Southwell.
We have picked out three selections for Tuesday’s racing, including two bets from the evening card at Southwell.
3:51 Leicester – Brummell
Brummell has been in good form in recent outings; the six-year-old finished third at Doncaster before going close at Beverley on his latest start.
Julie Camacho’s runner was only narrowly denied at Beverley, getting caught late on before finishing second. He remains on a workable handicap mark, having previously won off the same rating he runs from today.
Brummell should also benefit from the return to quicker ground, while there looks to be enough pace in the race to suit. If he can reproduce his recent form, he should have a good chance of getting back to winning ways.
Betting Tip: Brummell to Win – 4/1
4:55 Southwell – Zafaan
Zafaan comes into this race looking for his third consecutive win after victories over hurdles at Worcester and on the Flat at Wolverhampton.
The six-year-old was impressive at Wolverhampton last time out, winning by over two lengths after making progress through the field. He now has a 5lb penalty to deal with, but he could still have more to offer over this longer distance on the Flat.
Henry Callan takes the ride, and the amateur jockey has an impressive career strike rate of 33%. Zafaan looks to have a good opportunity to continue his winning run.
Betting Tip: Zafaan to Win – Evens
7:00 Southwell – Fantasy Obsessor
Fantasy Obsessor returned to form at Southwell on her latest start, finishing second over the same course and distance she runs over on Tuesday.
The three-year-old is without a win since landing consecutive novice races as a two-year-old, but her latest performance was a step back in the right direction.
Charlie Appleby’s runner has also dropped considerably in the handicap since the start of the season. She likes to race prominently, which could suit over six furlongs at Southwell.
Fantasy Obsessor should have a good chance if building on her recent second at the track.
Betting Tip: Fantasy Obsessor to Win – 10/3
